Julia Hunter
Asset Manager
Julia was born in the UK and emigrated to Australia in the early 80s. She has over 20 years experience in the Australian and UK property industries with exposure to direct investment, leasehold and facilities property management as well as property divestment.
After leaving her last role, several clients expressed an interest in retaining Julia to continue as manager of their investment properties. As a result Blue Asset Management was formed in Nov 2008.
Julia has a relaxed, personable and flexible style which works well for dealing with clients, tenants and contractors alike. She has strong communication skills and is focused on improving the bottom line. She believes that the one of the keys to successfully managing property is encouraging all parties involved to work in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
Julia has a passion for animals particularly her dog, Jasper, who was rescued from the Pound and like his owner, loves the Aussie beach life.
Peter McDonald
Building Operations Manager
Peter is a highly experienced Building Engineer with a wealth of knowledge on OH&S issues, arranging tenders, overseeing major upgrades of building equipment and project managing tenancy fitouts or reinstatement works. . He also does a lot of project work with the tenants and assists them with Council certifications, moves, tenancy reconfiguration etc.
Peter is a director of a successful design/project company, ODCM and is contracted by Blue Asset Management’s clients. He was previously national operations manager for a listed property company.
ODCM has a similar culture and philosophy to Blue Asset Management and the companies therefore work well together.
In his spare time, of which there is not much, Peter’s favourite pastime is anything to do with sport whether watching or participating. In his day-to-day work he cycles everywhere on one of his five bikes. In addition to cycling Peter plays water polo, touch football and cricket and attends most major sporting events in Sydney and Melbourne.
